FaxBack Unveils New Version of Popular NET SatisFAXtion Fax Server
Version 7.0 Offers .NET Foundation, New Client Notification and SQL Logging Functionality

TIGARD, Ore. - April 12, 2004 - FaxBack® Inc., a leading provider of NET SatisFAXtion fax server software and fax-on-demand technology, today announced the immediate availability of NET SatisFAXtion 7.0. This latest version includes improved inbound notifications, advanced reporting tools, back-up and restore features and extensive logging functionality with SQL. In addition, FaxBack has incorporated Microsoft’s .NET Framework into its NET SatisFAXtion product line, making it among the most reliably integrated fax solutions available on the market today.

Uses Microsoft Installer to Add File Resiliency
NET SatisFAXtion 7.0 is now installed utilizing Microsoft Installer (MSI), whose file resiliency gives the fax server the ability to recover gracefully from situations in which a vital component is missing or corrupted.

Inbound Notification Ensures Timely Delivery
New notification alerts allowing desktop users to know instantly of any incoming faxes.

Extensive Logging with SQL Provides Data Integrity and Scalability
Included in this latest version is Microsoft's powerful Desktop SQL Engine (MSDE) which allows the SQL server to receive and store all fax transaction logging information from the fax server. Logging data can also be easily integrated into a corporate full-scale SQL server.

Advanced, Easy-to-Use Reporting Tools Provide In-Depth Snapshots of System Use
A .NET-based XML Reporting Engine is included to allow for rapid, “on-the-fly” queries of the fax transaction data stored in a Desktop SQL Engine (MSDE). Utilizing sophisticated XML with SQL query reporting techniques allows IT professional and support staff to quickly and easily generate and display detailed fax transaction reports. With a single-click from within NET SatisFAXtion, queried fax data can be easily analyzed from within Microsoft Excel allowing administrators to quickly create and customize reports.

Notification Engine Instantly Alerts Administrators to Potential Problems
A new Notification Engine alerts administrators instantly of any fax server issues so they can be addressed immediately. It enables IT professionals to effectively manage their fax servers, track potential problems, and manage issues before they become potential down-time problems.

Incorporating .NET Framework for Greater Performance and Reliability
FaxBack, at the fax technology forefront, has begun incorporating Microsoft's .NET Framework into its product line. Modules that are built on .NET code include a new Notification Engine, Server Monitoring and Reporting modules. FaxBack will begin using the Microsoft .NET Framework layer to provide what is most important in application-intensive environments: stability. Using .NET managed code, significantly increases stability and performance of NET SatisFAXtion fax servers.

Back-up and Restore Adds Extra Layer of Protection
Includes a built-in back-up and restore feature that allows administrators to schedule backups of the entire NET SatisFAXtion server. The restore process adds a layer of security and data loss prevention.

Supports Exchange Server 2003, Windows 2003 and Small Business Server 2003
NET SatisFAXtion 7.0 includes full support for Microsoft Windows 2003, Small Business Server 2003 and Exchange Server 2003. The latest version of NET SatisFAXtion has been updated to take advantage of the operating system’s new features and continues to work seamlessly with them.

Availability
NET SatisFAXtion 7.0 is available immediately from FaxBack and FaxBack’s authorized resellers. It is being provided to existing customers as an upgrade per FaxBack’s maintenance policies.
