(ECS) selected NET SatisFAXtion™ to play an integral role in their document management strategy. The solution seamlessly integrates with their existing applications and has become vital to everyday business processes.

ECS, a geotechnical, environmental, and construction materials engineering consulting firm, was seeking a better, more streamlined approach to getting information from off-site job locations into their document management system. "Rather than have our techs drive in from job sites to scan and import faxes into our system, we envisioned a process that would eliminate these extra steps and allow people to automatically send job information right from their site," said Robert Holt, CIO at ECS. Using FaxBack's NET SatisFAXtion fax solution, 500 field techs at ECS, are now able to send data directly to their document management application from remote job locations by simply scanning and faxing items such as site drawings, field notes and reports. The fax server receives the call, and automatically routes the information to the network directory specified by the caller. The field tech can now even generate a receipt for the customer while out in the field by calling into the fax server.

ECS employees have come to rely on the NET SatisFAXion system, sending approximately 2000 inbound faxes to their network each week. “NET SatisFAXtion has reduced the amount travel time, costs and execution time spent on inputting data from off-site job locations,” said Holt. “We calculated our return on investment and found that we had a first year’s savings of $234,000!”
