Tigard, Ore. - March 19, 2007 - FaxBack, developer of NET
SatisFAXtion IP, a T.38 VoIP fax solution and AudioCodes, a
leading provider of Voice over Packet (VOP) technologies and
voice network products, today announced availability of a joint
solution that combines the powerful FaxBack Port Server with
AudioCodes' Mediant VoIP Gateways.
The combined solution resets the bar for Fax over IP solution
designed for carrier class, high density deployments. Now
enterprises and service providers who send and receive
exceptionally high volumes of fax are easily able to route all
fax traffic through their Mediant VoIP Gateway, without having
to invest in expensive and unnecessary fax hardware or sacrifice
fax quality and network bandwidth. The Port Server, when coupled
with the Mediant 1000, 3000, 5000 or 8000 VoIP Gateway, provides
advanced fault tolerance and reduced latency, delivering high
fax performance, reliable and secure method for transmitting
faxes over the Internet. Densities range from a full DS3 (672
ports) to multi-OC3 (3 DS3).
"The FaxBack Port Server leverages the power of our Mediant VoIP
product line by delivering high quality VoIP Fax at unmatched
densities," says Ron Romanchik, VP Sales North America, Blade
Business Line. "Jointly we are now able to offer a complete VoIP
solution that will save organizations significant costs in
unnecessary hardware cost, that is easy to deploy, and that
continues our legacy of delivering quality products."
"We are committed to delivering reliable and cost-effective fax
solutions to the market," says Mike Oliszewski, CTO of FaxBack.
"Through our cooperation with AudioCodes, we are thrilled to
lead the industry and overcome challenges that have deterred
large scale Fax over IP deployments."
In a market where right-sized system solutions and the right
PSTN interfaces are critical factors in VoP deployment,
AudioCodes' Mediant Converged VoP Gateways for Wireline
,Wireless, Cable, Broadband Access and fixed-Mobile-Convergence
networks deliver the solutions that carriers need with a
comprehensive line of full-featured media gateways.
The FaxBack Port Server is a scalable, carrier-class SIP T.38
fax solution that facilitates secure, reliable fax messaging
across the Internet. Fax clients can easily connect over the
